This is how it should be, I think

With regards to the Jesus stuff - it's not just Christians who have groups opposed to gay marriages so it would be appreciated if you didn't just pick on that aspect.
"If you are really that against people sinning, then what kind of person are you?"
"Not to mention, what the hell does it have to do with you if Jeff and George marry? Oh, they're souls are doomed to hell, whoopie-do, you go to heaven."
---
A lot of people think it is their duty to look after their neighbour and don't want to see people sinning. Wanting to look after people's souls doesn't make you any kind of person but a caring one.
"This goes for about any kind of religious action people try to take upon themselves. If God really, REALLY didn't want people to commit sins, he wouldn't allow free will or he would burn you on the spot wouldn't he? C'mon!"
---
Hokay, God loves us and of course he doesn't want us to sin.
What kind of a statement is that?
He just loves us enough to give us free will so we can enjoy the things we wouldn't otherwise enjoy. He doesn't give us free will because he doesn't care whether or not we sin. o.O;;
He wouldn't burn us on the spot because he wants us to learn from what we've done and gives us a chance to repent and change.
That being said, I don't have a problem with gay marriage and I think it is up to the church whether or not they want to marry gay couples and I don't think you should try to control people.
I don't think there's a problem with giving your opinion and openly saying you disagree with it. If you want to discourage it, do so, but don't ever try to encourage discrimination or prejudice or try to force people into anything.
